Who Will See Snow Today?

By “see snow” I mean see it falling as the chances for it to be heavy enough to stick with relatively warm air and ground are very low.

Morning radar shows that the air over far western Missouri and southeastern Kansas is saturating from above.  This air is also the coldest.  These facts along with a forecast area of rising motion suggest that very light snow may be generated in these areas by early afternoon.

Another area late this afternoon runs roughly along and east of a line from Mtn Home, AR to West Plains to Salem, MO.  This is closer to the deepening low pressure area and features better a humidity and rising motion fields.  It’s the temperatures in these areas that are in question;  will they cool fast enough before the storm lifts away?
