A changeover to snow is still likely overnight tonight. Springfield is unlikely to see an accumulation of any consequence. It is still possible for areas north of Springfield to see perhaps several tenths of an inch by morning.
More importantly, Wednesday will be a bitter cold day. Our average temperature will be around 20 with northwest winds gusting to over 40 mph at times especially the more northeast you head.
Thursday morning we bottom out around 10 degrees making that the coldest reading so far this season.
The seven day forecast is not particularly warm. There is a hint of some winter precipitation Friday. Another storm Monday could take a more southerly track which could put us in line with another snow chance.
